FITTING NITROS OXIDE

The installation was no problem. I had plenty of telephone advice from The Wizards Of NOS, http://www.noswizard.com the makers of the system. The increase in power is amazing. I can control the power levels via an in car digital controller.

The system has cost me £900 pounds but is worth triple as far as feel good factor is concerned. The car is currently running 75 shots which basically means an additional 75 bhp, but this is not an exact science. The bhp figures vary from car to car. Basically the car is really quick and I mean quick.
The question of engine damage is heavily debated. The way the system works is: The NOS bottle is contained within the boot of your car

You install two pulsoids within the engine bay, one for NOS and one for additional fuel. The NOS supply runs through the car via a nylon pipe into the NOS pulsoid. The fuel pulsoid is supplied from the hp side of your fuel system, you break in before the fuel reaches the fuel rail.

The system is triggered via a microswitch located on the throttle linkage. Basically you fit an arming switch inside the car, this means you can have the system on or off.

When the system is armed it will only activate on 100% throttle, in other words only when you put your foot right to the floor. A crossfire injector is fitted into the rubber air intake pipe just before the throttle body. When you activate the system the two pulsoids open sending NOS liquid and additional fuel into the inlet manifold and off you go. The kit is supplied with 25 shot jets. These are supposed to equate to 25 bhp. I have installed a Minimax controler which basically ramps the operation of the pulsiods. I am currently running 75 shots. If i was to run the system without the controller the additional boost would nearly break your neck, thats where the controller comes in. Its programmable so that the input is controllable. Currently I am running an initial 30% boost rising to 100% over 4 seconds..........On and on...... if you want more info ring Trev at the wizards, very easy to talk to, if not give me a bell 01928 830 547.
Trev tells me the mazda is a very good choice for the system, very strong and the fact its V6 helps it to cope with the additional power. I was invited to Santa Pod to do some 1/4 miles runs with the system but declined.
I have installed a full stainless system as well which looks and sound very nice.

Update:
What a difference, you would'nt believe how quick the car is ! I'm using 100 shots in the system which should mean an extra 100 bhp. I estimating the car now produces between 240 & 270 bhp. A rolling road session will give me an exact figure.
