Peter's black & silver Mazda Xedos 6 2.0 SE's
I have recently sold this car (1995 V6 SE) as it had done 180000 miles but was still running well. I had fitted a set of BK five spokes with 215/40/17's which worked well but did tend to rub the back arches after it was lowered 35mm all round. I fitted a remus rear box costing 275 squids from Demon Tweeks, which sounded nice but refined. Fitting the stereo was not easy, the rear shelf had to be butchered to fit the Kenwood whatever they where, I forget now. The component speakers fitted to the front doors worked well but I always doubted the price for such a small twin set almost 400 squids. I attempted to have the car chipped at Camco 88 in Warrington but after nearly 8 hours trying the fitter told me that the conductivity of the original mother board within the CPU was not compatible (Gutted). I have just purchased a new Xedos V6 SE (15/02/03) for 5500 squid less 500 part ex for my wifes 1989 corolla gti. Found it in a local Mazda dealer (Liverpool). It's silver one owner 1998 and the best thing it's only covered 38000. I have ordered a set of 18-inch Miramax five spokes (I think that was the make). These should run with 215/35/18 and I hope reading the article about lowering I should be able to prevent the rubbing problem. The wheels have cost me 1100 and the wife is not impressed. I think this time I will change both springs and dampers as per your articles recommendation.
